Keith Toney appointed as District 2 Councilman

The City Council appointed Keith Toney, former president of the Fort Sam Houston Independent School District. He takes over the East Side district in the wake of last month's council decision to appoint then-Councilwoman Ivy Taylor to the mayoral seat. She took over after Mayor Julián Castro resigned his seat to become secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
